Product Overview
Leukomed I.V. film is made of a stretchable, transparent polyurethane film. The high level of water vapour permeability of the film allows the skin to breathe and reduces the risk of macerations. The skin-friendly polyacrylate adhesive makes for secure adherence. Particularly practical: The release paper in three parts, the V-shaped slit and the red handling tape of Leukomed I.V. film make for quick and easy application.
Various shapes and sizes ensure secure and lasting fixation of central and peripheral venous catheters and cannulae with injection port. Leukomed I.V. film protects reliably against infection.
Leukomed I.V. film is a sterile transparent dressing for IV sites. It secures intravenous catheters and covers and protects cannula sites. It allows easy site inspection and showering and is skin-friendly.
- Breathable. By applying the skin-friendly adhesive in an intelligent pattern ("pattern coat"), secure fixation and lasting protection are achieved without impairing breathability.
- Protects against friction.
- Reduces risk of contamination.
- The ultra-thin polyurethane film protects reliably against water, bacteria and contaminants, yet granting a high moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR).
- The unique application system featuring a translucent carrier film with a distinctive red stripe, assures precise placement over the wound or device.
