- Protective Padding Layer: The first layer applied directly to the skin. It provides protection to bony prominences and ensures even pressure distribution
- Conformable Bandage Layer: The second layer is a conformable bandage that is wrapped around the limb to provide support and a foundation for the compression layers
- Light Compression Layer: This layer applies light compression to the limb and is typically made of a short stretch or low-stretch bandage material
- High Compression Layer: The final layer is a high-compression bandage that provides the main pressure to reduce edema and improve venous return
