Product Overview
QuoroGuard is a sterile, non-adhering dressing for prevention of second injuries and protection of newly formed granulating tissue. It also prevents trauma during dressing change.
Lint, fibers, cotton, fabric and the like, from dressings and bandages can stick to the freshly generated granulating tissue. This causes damage to the healing tissue during dressing changes or removal, causing second injuries, delay in healing and pain to the patient.
Application of QuoroGuard Non-Adhering Dressing on the wound bed before applying primary or secondary dressings ensures that lint, cotton, fabric and other fibers do not stick to the wound tissues, without impacting the healing process. It also allows free passage of exudates, medications, moisture and oxygen to ensure optimal healing, and prevents pooling of fluid at wound site.
QuoroGuard is non-pyrogenic, non-allergenic, and comes in a sterile pack to reduce the risk of infection at the the wound site. QuoroGuard also contains a free wound management set for monitoring wound contraction over the course of the treatment.
INDICATIONS:
- All types of chronic wounds, including both cavity wounds and surface wounds
- 1st to 3rd Degree Burns
- Acute wounds widely exposed damaged or granulating tissue
Application Procedure:
- Prepare the wound bed for application of dressings
- Apply any topical anti-biotic or other medication
- Take out QuoroGuard by peeling open sterile pouch
- Place QuoroGuard on the wound bed. Ensure that the entire wound bed and peri-wound area is covered
- Apply primary/secondary dressing on top of QuoroGuard
- QuoroGuard should be removed and changed on every dressing change
