Indwelling catheters - also called Foley catheters. These are designed to remain in the bladder continuously for longer periods of time.
Foley catheters are small flexible tubes inserted into the urethra to drain urine from the bladder. People who have difficulty emptying their bladder use a catheter, which is a thin tube that is passed into the bladder (usually through the urethra) and allows the urine to drain freely.
