Chlorhexidine Gauze Dressing is intended for use as wound contact layer for wounds such as:
- Minor burns and scalds
- Lacerations, abrasions & other skin loss wounds
- Donor and recipient graft sites
- Leg ulcers, where wound is not more than 10% of body area, where there is a risk of infection, or on already infected wounds in conjunction with systemic
- Pressure sores
- Colostomy
Features:
- Soft Paraffin base
- Sterile leno weave gauze
- Contains Chlorhexidine acetate 0.5%, an antiseptic with a broad spectrum

- Gauze Dressing is made of Open Leno Weave Gauze that facilitates passage of viscous exudates, thus preventing maceration
- Reduces risk of fibrous contamination - enhanced safety
- Maintains shape, resists fraying
- A sterile paraffin Tulle Grass dressing, it is made from open weave gauze that has interlocking threads, which minimize fraying when dressing is cut to shape
- Reduces risk of infection
- Contains Chlorhexidine Acetate 0.5% w/w

- Effective in high-risk conditions

Contraindication / Precautions:
- It is not to be used on more than 10% of the body area.
- Avoid contact with eyes, the middle ear, meninges and brain.
- It is incompatible with soaps, other anionic materials & potassium iodide.
- Use of Chlorhexidine Gauze Dressing with oxidising wounds cleaning agents should be avoided.
